Fear does not apply to you, to real you, which is has no threats, no enemies, nothing to be afraid of. Fear is not about you, fear is only about your body, this magnificent gadget that you have created to explore this material creation of yours. Your body will die one day, there is no way you can get around that, but you yourself just cannot die. You are Life Itself in a human form. You are eternity clothed in the temporal clothes of matter.

So if you really think about it, is at at all sensible for the eternal you to worry about the certain death of your body, that it will die one of these days? It’s comparable to you as a human being living in fear of your favorite dress or costume becoming threadbare and unusable. It is merely stupid as all material things and bodies shall die one day.

Just try it out, the sense of not being afraid… Just explore this new truth growing through the ancient lies that have kept you falsely identified with matter… Just give it a chance, you might be more than you can ever think of… You might be alive, forever! And what kind of eternity do you wish to live in: fearful and anxious or loving and joyful? The choice is yours, right now!

Yesterday was the first warm day of spring. I sat in the yard swing in the evening and was at peace with everything. And then I saw what this is all about. Everything is so simple and clear. 

During the day I had heard dizzying stories about people who had yearned, wanted, and longed for some things. Their will had eventually come true exactly as they had desired, and their sorrows had grown exponentially. They had suffered the consequences of their own will. Just like me. 

Who are you? Are you really your name, your family, your race, your religion, your nation, your history, your genetics, your sex, your fame, your misery, your money or what?

We live in a pick and choose world where everybody gets to form their own particular avatar for this game called The Human Life. We get to choose anything and whatsoever from the list above – and even beyond it – as our own in order to try to win in this desperate game of survival. Whether you are my neighbor, my beloved, my postman, my mother, my father, my daughter or my son there is just one message I wish to convey to you. You are loved beyond all the petty feelings, thoughts and emotions to the contrary that you can ever think of. You all full and holy, wholly loved in spite of all the experiences of the past that you use to maintain your belief that love is not true, that you are not lovable. You have never done a thing nor has anybody ever done anything to you that could ever take away the love that is carrying you in this forever moment of now. You have identified yourself far too long with bodies, structures, nations and ideologies that are all born to grow and then die in time. You are none of what you have cherished for so long! You are none of that which you have lived for, suffered for and died for! Your time as a time-bound being is up!

You have thought, believed and imagined that life is something that takes place between birth and death. You were born through the painful contractions of your mother, which forced you to leave your watery paradise, where you just got to enjoy life while all your needs were taken care of. But you lost that paradise and were pushed into a world of bright lights and uncertain hands. And you learned to be afraid as you could never be quite certain whether you needs would be taken care of as even the most caring parents had their bad or just clumsy moments with you. Once upon a time I read about a man who could make clouds in the sky disappear at will. I was intrigued by the trick and tried it out. And quite soon I was able to choose a cloud and then decide to see through it, which led to its disappearance within a minute or so.

It was like a party trick that I was able to teach to my son as well. But I also felt that it had a deeper meaning or truth about how to face the clouds or shadows of my mind. You need to see or acknowledge the shadow or the fearful memory in your mind, and only then can you decide to see through it or ignore it by focusing on the sky or the mind that gave rise to it. The clouds, shadows and fears are always temporal, but the sky or the mind as their source always remains. Oh no! Not again! – How many times have you been in the grips of feeling of having done or chosen something bad, wrong or defective? How often have you been taken by a sudden onslaught of utter desolation, by a sense of having made an irrevocable mistake? And then reacted to it by trying to annul or quit whatever you had been doing or experiencing at that time whether it is a relationship, a job, a course, an ideal, a deal or a company?

Only to experience that same sinking feeling again in another time, with some other people and in some other circumstances… That’s the original sin! And I just learned where it originates and how we can deal with it, to face it so utterly and clearly that we do not need to repeat it anymore. Are you in? Or are you out because these words awakened that feeling in you and you do not think that you can ever face it? For some time it has been obvious for me that our world is ruled by teenagers in adult disguise. Everybody has been caught up by the black and white, good and bad dualism of a teenager desperately trying to become an individual or something different from his/her parents. Everybody is a teenager in spite of their actual physical age, young or old. Everybody is easily ruled as a reactive mass of people governed by and through their fears.

Everybody is doing their best to better, richer and more impressive than the other. Everybody is trying to be a special individual in a flock of teenagers fearful of not being accepted by others of their kind. Everybody is trying to become something special in their own particular way and all of them end up being the same. Everybody is miserable and unhappy whether they are hiding behind the shiny veneer of success or the shoddy demeanor of failure. They are all the same. Read the rest of this entry »

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer when our daughter was six months old and she died three days before this daughter had her seventh birthday. All the while she was fighting to live, and still moving towards death, I kept telling her that if she gave herself the same love that she gave to her students and the singers in her choirs, she would definitely be able to heal herself. Her dedication to her work as a music teacher was of such caliber; she just gave all that could be given in any situation, she was wholly loving.

But she was never able to love herself like that. It was as if the love that I could observe while she was working was not really for herself. She may have felt that she was not worth it. And for a long time I was really angry at her as she in my eyes refused to help or love herself. Only when her health really deteriorated some six months before her death, did I fully accept her choice not to apply her love to herself and to die. We both accepted it and found the long sought peace in our relationship. And then she died. Read the rest of this entry »

This vision arose while I was listening A Course in Miracles teacher David Hoffmeister’s newest teaching “The Answer to Every Problem” from 21^st Nov 2019. I sensed a temporal timeline of my personal past reaching through me to create my future. I saw my human experience of problems upon problems extending and creating time along which I have kept on trying to resolve my human miseries, fears, anxieties without ever reaching the end. And neither has anybody else done it. Only the death of my body has always come in the end, and my painful past has then been repeated as an equally painful future. The mill of miseries has kept grinding on…

In Finnish there happens to be a saying “Sama vika Rahikaisella!”, which is used as an exclamation after you have done something stupid, meaning that you are not the only one to do so as Rahikainen has also made the same mistake. I am the one! Read the rest of this entry »
